Krystyna Renata Robbins
Polish Artist Krystyna Renata Robbins was born in Scotland, raised in London, and immigrated to the United States where she received a degree in Fashion. She left her successful career following her marriage to an Army officer.
She is actively engaged in the El Paso Art Association, the El Paso Plein Air painters and with her husband founded the nonprofit Soldier Art Workshop Foundation serving Fort Bliss. “My passion is in oils, where knife and brush combine to give richness of depth, color and structure not achievable in other mediums. I paint Plein Air on location whenever possible. My subjects are as varied as my life - old missions from California to Mexico, Southwestern scenes of New Mexico and El Paso and the old world villages of Tuscany and Provence. But I also have love for fishing boats, the sea and ramshackle wharfs around the world that ultimately draw me to the canvas. And who can ignore their heritage? I certainly cannot, as you can see in my portraits, people and reflections of my Polish beginnings.”
